A closer look reveals that they were headed for Alumni Hall, where the women would be housed on one of the floors while waiting for the Hill Dorms (Nault, Young, and Harrington) to be completed (construction had begun that spring).

In 1969, Assumption admitted the first coeducational class in the institution’s history. Here, we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the September that changed history. Although the institution first admitted female undergraduates 50 years ago, they have established a legacy of confident leaders and athletes, researchers and successful entrepreneurs.

Prof. Niece Named MSCPA 2019 Outstanding Educator of the Year

Assumption Associate Professor of Accounting, Jennifer Niece, has received the 2019 Outstanding Educator of the Year Award from the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. It recognizes her excellence in teaching and motivating students and her contributions to the accounting profession, participation in MSCPA, and serving as a liaison.

Honors Convocation Recognizes Students’ Academic Excellence

The annual Honors Convocation recognizes students who have demonstrated academic excellence through an impassioned commitment to learning. The faculty celebrate the most meritorious students in each of their primary programs of student. The institution invites alumnus to address the honorees, this year’s speaker being Suzanne Besnia.
